It all started with an Amazon Gift Card

For months I had been watching a constant stream of soapmaking tutorials and reading endless books on soapmaking. My intent was to make soap as a hobby and stress reliever. I started making a wish list of all the soaping supplies that I would need and a few items that I just really wanted because they were cute! I began to order and purchase these supply items a little at a time when I had the extra money to do so. One thing you need to know - soap supplies are not cheap!!

And then....my family gave me an Amazon Gift Card!! can you say SCORE??!!! I was able to purchase almost everything that was needed to begin - oils, molds, essential oils, bowls, and blenders.

I spent countless hours creating soap and formula fragrances as well as color schemes. Almost every single moment of free time was spent making soap batches and experimenting. It became a little discouraging at times when a soap formula/batch would fail, but I took a breathe and started again the next day. We learn through trial and error. I have learned so much and I am so excited to take the next step in my soapmaking journey.
